Tori Green: Who are you? What do you do?
Natalia Garibotto: I'm an influencer and an entrepreneur. I play video games on twitch , own 2 bikini lines, one for men and one for women, opening up a boutique here in Miami.
Tori: What was your first business (including running your own business)? How long did this last or are you still involved in the same business?
Natalia: Instagram marketing was and still is my first business. I started managing some girls a few years ago as well and still do that but with gaming only.
Tori: Biggest challenge? How did you get through it?
Natalia: Being an influencer and being a brand, trying to do both is tedious. but learning how to balance both sides.
Tori: What is something that you wish you could go back and tell yourself before starting this
journey?
Natalia: Nothing is what it seems to be- networking is your biggest strength; don't be too giving to others because people take advantage.
Tori: What did you do before owning your own/running your business?
Natalia: I went to university of Miami and worked a 9-5 as property manager as well as a realtor.
Tori: What/who made you take the first leap?
Natalia: My Ex Kyrie Irving when I was in college.
Tori: Who was the first to believe in you and give you real support (financial/sweat equity)?
Natalia: Myself, no one believed that being an influencer was a full time job. So the second I started to make money I was able to prove to people including boyfriends and family that it was serious.
Tori: Was this your dream job? If not, what was?
Natalia: no my dream job was to always be an entrepreneur but still haven't found what my purpose is. I just know I like to create businesses.
Tori: Why did you get into this field?
Natalia: i saw growth on social media and decided to put all my energy into it so i quit my job and started focusing on shooting and connecting with brands
Tori: What is your biggest failure that you turned into a success?
Natalia: My ex boyfriend never wanted me to post my bikini pictures. so when we broke up i was heartbroken since it was my first love, i turned that into power and started posting whatever I wanted after the breakup.
Tori: If you could change one thing about your life today for the better, what would it be?
Natalia: relationships, i wish i had known better that people are out to get you and wouldn't have invested so much time and money into people that weren't there for me years later
Tori: How is your life/work balance? Body, mind, and soul weekly routine?
Natalia: I stopped working out for a year because of surgery and business, but I started meditating and making my body and soul a priority.
Tori: Do you say/write out affirmations?
Natalia: Every day I pray and every year I start with a board of goals. Manifestation is real.
Tori: When was the last time you tried something new/ Stepped out of routine?
Natalia: When I opened up my retail store, still opening, but started this year 2022.
Tori: Favorite book that changed your life?
Natalia: Rich dad, poor dad. Read it 3 times.
Tori: Do you think your gender gives you an advantage or disadvantage in today’s world?
Natalia: A little of both. It's easy to be seen as a "hoe" for posting your photos, but then again men are the ones solely supporting those photos and in turn my website.
Tori: Have you experienced different treatment from your peers of the opposite sex?
Natalia: Living in Miami my whole life I always knew being a female/attractive/ and having followers would give you more of an advantage anywhere.
Tori: Thoughts on the glass ceiling?
Natalia: I always knew women had it harder financially, but in a space now filled with women dominating (social media) it became easier to break that and connect with other powerful females through social media alone.
Tori: What advice would you give your children/ future children about succeeding in a
patriarchal society?
Natalia: never let a man dictate what your job should be.
Tori: If you could talk to a young boy/girl from your hometown neighborhood who aspires to
have your career/job/focus what would tell them? Advice.
Natalia: Find what you're passionate about and dedicate your time and resources to making it the best version of you. It's not about money at the end of the day, it's about being respected.
Tori: Fun fact about you?
Natalia: I am a total nerd. I love video games, but most importantly I love building my PC and learning about technology.
Tori: Number one piece of advice you remember?
Natalia: Be your own sugar mama.
Tori: Anything else to add?
Natalia: Starting a gaming organization in Miami :)
Tori: Anything coming up for you that you want to talk about?
Natalia: Focusing most of the time on gaming.
