Tori: What was your first business (including running your own business)? How long did this last or are you still involved in the same business?
Koala: Koala puffs marketing. Still going - 7 years strong
Tori: Biggest challenge? How did you get through it?
Koala: keeping positive and pushing forward when others try to bring you down
Time and therapy helped but I have a long way to go.
Tori: What is something that you wish you could go back and tell yourself before starting this journey?
Koala: Don’t take things personally - for many it’s just business.
Tori: What did you do before owning your own/running your business?
Koala: I worked for a sales company along with many random jobs before that.
Tori: What/who made you take the first leap?
Koala: I knew there was something here with “Koala Puffs”.
Tori: Who was the first to believe in you and give you real support (financial/sweat equity)?
Koala: My mentor Seth.
Tori: Was this your dream job? If not, what was?
Koala: I never had a dream job to be honest.
Tori: Why did you get into this field?
Koala: It was purely by accident which turned into the best thing ever.
Tori: What is your biggest failure that you turned into a success?
Koala: Getting fired from a job to then start this account.
Tori: If you could change one thing about your life today for the better, what would it be?
Koala: That I could speak my truth without it negatively affecting others.
Tori: How is your life/work balance? Body, mind, and soul weekly routine?
Koala: I keep it pretty balanced I would say. Lots of work but also lots of play.
Tori: Do you say/write out affirmations?
Koala: Sometimes but not usually
Tori: When was the last time you tried something new/ Stepped out of routine?
Koala: I try to try new things frequently - food - activities - etc.
Tori: Favorite book that changed your life?
Koala: None, I have never been a great reader due to my ADD.
Tori: Do you think your gender gives you an advantage or disadvantage in today’s world?
Koala: I would say a disadvantage for sure.
Tori: Have you experienced different treatment from your peers of the opposite sex?
Koala: It just depends on the person I’d say.
Tori: Thoughts on the glass ceiling?
Koala: N/a
Tori: What advice would you give your children/ future children about succeeding in a patriarchal society?
Koala: It’s okay to move in your own lane even if you’re the only one doing it.
Tori: If you could talk to a young boy/girl from your hometown neighborhood who aspires to have your career/job/focus what would tell them?
Koala: Don’t let others hold you back.

Koala: Ukrainian born and raised.
Tori: Number one piece of advice you remember?
Koala: In a growing business do what only you can do and outsource everything else to those that do it best.
